BRIGHT 2013

For the third consecutive year BRIGHT university fair organized by the Armenian Catholic University Student Association (ACUSA), was held on Monday, 10 December, 2012 at the St. Elie/St. Gregory Church Downtown Beirut from 9:00 am to 2:00pm.

14 accredited universities in the country participated in this fair.

Aram Karadaghlian a member in the ACUSA welcomed all the participating universities and shared the statistics that the association had conducted for the first time this year to show the percentage of the Armenian high school graduates attending each university and majors studied.

He then expressed special gratitude to the Goguikian Foundation for partnering with ACUSA to make this event successful.

Then he invited the guest speaker Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian’ who spoke focusing on the role of the universities in making the dreams of the young Armenian students a reality.

After visiting the stands of the participating universities, students of each school were invited to a panel presentation which was organized by the Goguikian Foundation. The Foundation had invited three Public Sector servants:

Mrs. Lisa Katossian, Notary Public, who was absent due to sickness.

Retired Colonel Yeghish Andonian, the former head of Public Security of Matn.

Mr. Garo Marashlian, the Comptroller for Municipalities.

Araz Nashalian gave an introduction about the need for participation in the Public sector and then the panel presenters shared their own experiences in the public sector and answered the questions of the students.

The Goguikian Foundation staff answered students’ questions regarding a public sector career and distributed brochures to the students that stopped at the Foundation table.
