BS – Computer and Communications Engineering – AUB, Lebanon.  

Dr. Taleb is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at AUB
Lecturer at Phoenicia University (PU), Lebanon
Scientific Committee Coordinator at the National Association for Science and Research, (NASR), Lebanon.
Treasurer at Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) ‘s Women in Engineering (WIE), Lebanon chapter.
Member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), International Organization

Her Doctoral research focuses on saving battery life in smart mobile devices.
Dr. Taleb’s research findings will be beneficial to everyone with a smartphone, and even those with Smart heart implant.
Dr. Taleb has published several research papers in top-tier journals and conference proceedings including IEEE Transactions.

Dr. Amin Al-Awar

Ph.D. – Biological Science – Szeged University, Hungary in collaboration with Qatar University
MS – Biochemistry – Beirut Arab University, Lebanon, in collaboration with American University of Science and Technology, Lebanon.
BS – Biochemistry – Beirut Arab University, Lebanon.

Dr. Al-Awar is a postdoctoral fellow in Molecular Cardiology and Translational Research.

His interest in Endocrinology encouraged him to study the effects of anti-diabetic drugs on Myocardial Infarctions and find new protective insights. 

He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (ISCP).

Dr. Al Awar has published 10 research and review papers on Ischemic Heart Disease, Cardiac Remodeling, Diabetes Mellitus and Colitis in international peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Mira Moussa

Ph.D. – Molecular Biology/ Biomaterials – University of Geneva, Switzerland.
MS – Biochemistry – Lebanese University, Beirut, Lebanon

MS – Immunology – Université Paris Sud, Paris, France
BS – Biochemistry – Holy Spirit University, Kaslik, Lebanon

Dr. Moussa is a lecturer at Lebanese University, Faculty of Science, and Université Saint Joseph(USJ), Faculty of Dental Medicine, in Beirut, Lebanon

Her research is of interest to all, in particular Dentists and Biomaterial firms that produce new implants using this new tool.

Dr. Moussa has published 7 research papers in highly indexed international journals and 5 conferences on Surface Treatments, Endosseous Implants (dental implant), Osseo Integration, 3 D Printed Structures and Materials Biocompatibility.

Dr. Sara Obeid

Ph.D. – Renewable Energy and Biotechnology – Ecole Doctorale des Science de la Matière,
Toulouse, France and Ecole Doctorale en Sciences et Technologie, Lebanese University, Beirut, Lebanon.
MS – Agricultural Engineering, Lebanese University

Dr. Obeid is an Assistant Professor in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Zoology and Biochemistry at Balamand University
Member of Order of Engineer’s Scientific Committee.

Her research is based on valorizing Microalgae “the Futuristic Alternative Energy”

Scientific Work:

  • Patent in Microalgae Extraction Domain (registered).
  • 7 publications (accepted – submitted) in international scientific journal
  • 8 international and national congresses
  • 25 papers translated in 1 year (as Scientific Translator)

Dr. Joanna Raad

PhD. – Arts, (theatre studies), Université Saint Joseph (USJ), Beirut, Lebanon
M.A. – Research (Cinema), USJ
B.A. – Audio Visual Studies, USJ

Dr. Raad is Part-Time Lecturer in History of Art and Stage design.

Her research focuses on the relationship between theater and painting, in particular between Modern Theater and Modern Painting in the 19th century.
Dr. Raad has 3 Publications in the Academic Magazine of USJ, Institut D’Etudes Sceniques Audiovisuelles et Cinematographiques
