Armenian High School Heads Attend Presentation at The Goguikian Foundation Offices

The Goguikian Foundation invited the principals of all 12 Armenian high schools operating in Lebanon, for a presentation at its offices, on February 10, 2010.

Mrs. Soheila Hayek, Executive Director of the Foundation, gave a presentation to the principals of eight schools who attended, explaining the goals of the Foundation.

Through a PowerPoint presentation, Hayek gave details about the Jean Goguikian Scholarship program and encouraged the principals to guide their students toward participation in the Foundation’s programs.

During a Q&A session that followed, Hayek responded to questions posed.

 news43At the event, Mr. Armen Tashjian represented the Haratch Calouste Gulbenkian Secondary School of Anjar, and Ms. Seta Boyadjian represented Yeghishe Manoukian School in Dbayeh. Mrs. Yester Kilaghbian, Ms. Sonia Sislian, and Mrs. Rita Boyadjian represented the Armenian Evangelical Central High School in Ashrafieh, the Evangelical High School in Anjar, and the Kevork Harboyan Secondary School in Zalka, respectively.

Dr. Zaven Messerlian represented the Armenian Evangelical College in Kantari and Mr. Ara Vassilian represented Nazarian in Horch Tabet, while Rev. Hrayr Cholakian represented the Armenian Evangelical Chamelian Tatigian School in Bourj Hammoud. Ms. Maral Antoyan was also present, representing Mr. Michel Zeitounlian, head of the Education Council of the Armenian Schools under the auspices of the Armenian Orthodox Church’s Prelacy in Lebanon.
