The Goguikian Foundation is proud to have been a partner in BRIGHT 2011 a University Fair organised by the Armenian Catholic University Students Association.

This fair, which brought together more than 14 universities in the country under the same roof for the sole benefit of the Armenian community and its students, was held in the St. Elie / St. Gregory Church – Down town Beirut from 9:00am till 2:00pm on December 15, 2010.

Dr. Paul Haidostian was the guest speaker and he challenged students to think about the choices they are about to make about their university education and subsequent careers and make sure that they take into considerations their own strengths and likings and leanings and be open to ‘Guidance’. He warned students that the guidance from an inexperienced person should not carry the same weight as advice from an experienced person and wished everyone guidance that matched their ‘deepest potential’.

 The Foundation  had invited five Armenian Civil Servants to address the students and from 10-2:00 Mrs. Maral Tutelian the Director General of the Bureau of Statistics, Mr. Garo Marashlian in comptroller for Municipalities, Retired Colonel Yeghish Donoyan, the former head of Amn el 3am of Matn, Mrs. Lisa Katossian, Notary Public (Kateb el 3adel) and Dr. Berj Hatjian, the Director General of the Ministry of the Environment addressed groups of students to explain about the importance of partaking in the public sector and answered questions.

During the event, a draw was organized by the Foundation to award $500 in cash toward high school tuition to a student that knew the most about the Foundation and its aim.

A drawing will take place on December 20th at the Foundation offices to determine the winner
