In his message, Dr. Nadim Karam, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Vice President for Health Affairs and Community Development who represented the University of Balamand during the signing ceremony, said: “The initiative of The Goguikian Foundation to encourage deserving Lebanese-Armenian youth to expand their abilities to serve their community and their country through higher education … falls in line with our mission to promote education, dialogue and cultural understanding to contribute to efforts to build a cohesive Lebanese society enriched by solid traditions and values and enlightened by knowledge and understanding.”

He added that the University of Balamand “welcomes The Goguikian Foundation Scholarship Program that reaches out to the potential of youth in a community very well known for its entrepreneurship, ethics, industry, and commitment.” In addition, the university looks forward to being involved in “partnerships that facilitate the desire and will for learning among dedicated young Armenian women and men who shall engage in making the future.”
