In his message, USJ’s rector, Father René Chamussy, S.J., stated that USJ’s is happy to partner with The Goguikian Foundation for three main reasons.

• “First of all it is always good to support organizations that are there first and foremost to help the most unfortunate among us.”
• “Also, it seems to us that it is important to help those in the Armenian community who by hard work are trying to improve their personal conditions after their ancestors showed them how to survive as a community.”
• “Finally, it is very good that students who receive this scholarship should be involved in working for their country. I think this citizenship dimension is very important.”
